Creating Your First Event: A Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome to our RSVP Event SaaS platform! This guide will walk you through the process of creating your first event step by step.

Step 1: Signup / Signin to your account

  1. Go to the http://prod-rsvp.vercel.app/ and sign in using your email id.
  2. If you don’t have an account yet, sign up by entering email id.

Step 2: Access the event creation page

  1. After logging in, navigate to the Events page.
  2. Click on the Create Event button, usually located in the top-right corner.

Step 3: New users only whose profile is incomplete

Please complete your profile by navigating to profile page before creating an event.

Step 4: Fill in basic event details

  1. Provide the essential details for your event:
    • Event Title: A clear and descriptive name for your event.
    • Select a Category: Choose from options like Hangout, Birthday, Meetup, etc.
    • Date & Time: Select the start date and time, end date and time for your event.
    • Location: Choose whether the event is physical or virtual.
      • For physical events, enter the venue address.
      • For virtual events, add a meeting link (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).

Step 5: Add an Event Description

  1. Write a compelling event description to attract attendees.
    • Include key details such as the agenda, guest speakers, and any prerequisites for attendees.
    • Use formatting tools (if available) to make your text visually appealing.

Step 6: Customize RSVP Settings

  1. Choose your RSVP options:

    • Enter the event capacity cap.
    • Enable/disable event creator approval for attendees.

Step 7: Upload Media and Branding

  1. Add an event banner or logo to make your event page visually appealing.

Step 8: Review and Publish

  1. Double-check all the event details to ensure accuracy.
  2. Click the Preview button on mobile screen only to see how your event page will appear to attendees. For web preview will come on right side of page
  3. Once satisfied, hit Save Event to make your event live.

Step 9: Share Your Event

  1. After publishing, you’ll be redirected to your event page, you can find event URL in the address bar.
  2. Share this link via email, social media, or other channels to invite attendees.
